We are very sad to report the death of our classmate, Jerry Mayhew. Jerry passed away on July 2, 2015, from colon cancer at age 73. We all remember Jerry fondly from our high school days and all the great memorabilia and T shirts he brought all the way from New Mexico for our 50th Reunion. Rest in peace old friend.
We were informed of Jerry's passing by his Daughter, Bonita A. Thompson (Beinbo2@comcast.net)

Just checked my email after a week's hiatus. So sorry to find out about the passing of Jerry. He was a friend and teammate, always with a smile and always with hard work. May his family find great comfort in wonderful memories. He was a fine human being.

RIP, Jerry.

How sad to learn Jerry has left us. I really only knew him as a member of the football team. There he had a well deserved reputation of being fearless. May he rest in peace.

I remember Jerry as one of your classmates who, as a single parent, had to overcome so many adversities in order to earn his college degree. He persevered and always seemed to be appreciative of his achievements. He was so patient with our daughter as she pursued gymnastic skills and always gave me a hug at practices. You're "in my book," Jerry!
Fondly, Pam Hanrahan

Jerry was a tough player on the field and yet a sincere and genuinely caring man. Though my body took many knocks from him in football and even in gym my heart remembers him as one I'm glad to have known. Hank Butler
